Friday Five: Someone-better-be-around-to-hold-you books

Inspired by yesterdays post, here are five books to which I would tell someone: I hope someone will be around to hold you when you finish.

1. The Bluest Eye, Toni Morrison

2.  We All Fall Down, Robert Cormier

3.  Living Dead Girl, Elizabeth Scott

4.  Forbidden, Tabitha Suzuma

5.  Mockingjay, Suzanne Collins

  1. I haven't read any of these except Mockingjay (which I loved!). Definitely a heart-wrencher, though.

  2. Unfortunately I didn't like Mocking Jay as much as the rest...but it was still good.

The others I must read. With someone :)

  3. Yes. I would also include Poisonwood Bible and Play It As It Lays. Both adult books that wrecked me.

  4. I would include "My sister's Keeper", definitely a tear-jerker.

  5. Wow, that's a pretty powerful statement. Guess I'll have to put these on my TBR list. Thanks!

(Hey, how you liking this weather? Pretty sweet, eh?)

  6. Forbidden kept me up at night after I finished it. Great post!
