A while ago I made a list of palate cleanser books to read
after reading an emotionally altering book. Well, I need one bad.
Between the heartache that was last week’s Downton Abbey, the ending of Lionel Shriver’s We Need to Talk About Kevin,
and the unpromising Salvatore situation, I’m in need of something light.
Suggestions would be most appreciated.

Crap! I haven't had a chance to watch the latest Downton yet. PLEASE tell me it isn't that bad. I think I'm giong to cry and I don't even know what it's about yet. Also, your dog pic is adorable. Is that your dog? I just want to stare at the pic all day and rub the screen.
ReplyDeleteWell, I know a whole bunch of books you probably shouldn't read. But maybe Catch-22, I don't think that one was sad, or maybe "american gods", but they are all adult books. Sorry I am not very helpful. I will try to do better next time.
ReplyDeleteWell, I've just read The Fault In Our Stars and Leverage. These both are NOT palate cleanser books, but I did pick up the Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight which I am hopeful for.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean! I need one right now after watching Street Dogs of South Central on Animal Planet.
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to the candy goodness of the A-List series. SOOOOO addictive and fluffy and vapid. You'll love it.
The Otherworld series is always good too.
I'm halfway done with We Need to Talk About Kevin and following with Swamplandia (I have no idea what it is about, but it seemed lighthearted...) as my palette cleanser. Then onto the highly anticipated Fever!
